Rome wasn’t built in a day – Your body won’t change overnight

How are your winter workouts going to get that summer body?
I am hearing a lot from people how much they are struggling to keep going. Those chilly mornings are making it hard to get out of bed, the dark afternoons are letting you think you want to sit on the couch for the night rather than do a workout at home or at the gym but the biggest de-motivator I am hearing right now is they haven’t found the change they were hoping for.

One of the biggest things for failed motivation in a new eating and exercise plan is that all too often people think the change will happen overnight and they will get immediate results. Everyone would love to be able to just snap their fingers and get the body of their dreams, but unfortunately it doesn’t happen this way.
It takes time, it takes commitment and it takes a hell of a lot of motivation.

No one is going to do this for you and so you have to find the motivation to stick to your weight-loss/exercise plan if you are ever going to reach your goal. It won’t happen overnight and so it’s essential you find something to keep you going. Work out what’s going to keep your motivated, set goals, find visual tools to stop you from giving up.
You want to get fit? You have to work at it. You have to plan it, you have to schedule it and most importantly you have to do it. No excuses. Sitting on the couch, telling yourself you should be doing something will not burn up a lot of calories. If you are expecting to find plenty of change after a few work outs and a week of eating clean you are going to be disappointed.

Everyone wants the answers and wants immediate results. The problem is they don’t want to hear the truth and they especially don’t want to change. Don’t wait for a certain point in your life, don’t wait to start exercising until you have lost a couple of kilos from that half assed effort you put into eating clean, don’t wait for Monday.

People get discouraged and put off chasing after their dreams and goals because they keep waiting for everything to be ok so that they can start. I think if your goal is for everything to be ok, that’s a mistake. It’s never going to be a perfect time to start.... JUST GO AND KEEP GOING TILL YOU REACH IT!
