I went through the photos on my phone and found the photo where I was at my peak. I compared that photo against the older photos before I started getting into health and fitness, and then compared it to the photos I just took as my new ‘before’ photo. Where did that girl go? I’m not even talking about the girl that was smaller, fitter, and leaner. Where did the girl go that was so motivated and could bounce out of bed in the morning with ease and race to the gym? I missed that girl and I liked having her around. I tried telling myself its fine to have to some time off and chill out but honestly it got me nowhere and I didn’t like it.
It was exactly what I needed to get my head back into the game. If I wanted it I needed to go for it. None of these half assed attempts of going to the gym and giving it 50%. I shouldn't be looking for motivation in others. I should be my own motivation.

So this week it started. I wrote out my own resistance and
weight training program for 3 days a week, my new love of pilates is happening
a few times a week and I am starting the Kayla Itsines program.
If you don’t know who Kayla Itsines is you seriously need to get onto her instagram. You have probably seen her photos floating around cyber space, the girl with the seriously mean abs. Talk about #WCW! I remembered the days where I used to have these slight abs coming through, I want them back and I’ll get them back.
Her program is a 12 week challenge and judging by all the testimonials and progress photos this program seriously works.

I decided that if I blog about her program each week and how it’s going for me I would have more of a chance to stick to it. There’s nothing like voicing your goal to get yourself motivated and see it through. So you heard it here first, this is the beginning of week one of the program and I’ll see it through to the end. I’ll see you in 12 weeks when I have some seriously rocking abs and an awesome booty.
