The countdown till the wedding is going faster than Usain Bolt at the Olympics and we are now officially at 7 weeks and one day or 50 days which sounds even crazier. I'm not sure where the time has gone but with Christmas, New Years, my baby nephew arriving, at least 10 workouts a week the days and weekly are passing quickly and this wedding bod is coming together.
It's pretty motivating when you spend most of your spare time at the gym and you can see the progress and so far everything seems on track. A year ago when I started to put some proper effort into working out and my eating to get the body I wanted for my wedding it seemed daunting. I didn't know if the way I was doing it was going to work over time, if I could keep up the motivation or I was chasing an unrealistic goal but everything is paying off and with stepping up my workout routine (I will post about this soon) I hope to better than I could have imagined.
I have focused a lot on strengthening my core lately. For a long time I have had lower back issues and since working on my core it's really helping with lower back pain and lifting heavier.
There's nothing more satisfying than seeing your abs pop after a great ab sesh (except maybe the satisfaction of eating nutella straight from the jar)
Give this ab workout a go as a finisher to your workout 3 times a week and watch those baby 6 packs come out to play.
AB WORKOUT
Cable crunches x 20
Bicycles x 40 (20 each side)
Leg raises x 20
Oblique crunches x 20 each side
Flutters x 20 each leg
3-4 rounds
Finish off with hanging leg raises until failure
